Cinquains are a form of poetry created by Adelaide Crapsey over 100 years ago.
Cinquains are five lines long. They have 2 syllables in the first line. 4 syllables in the second line. 6 syllables in the third line. 8 in the fourth line and 2 in the last line. Because of the number of syllables in each line, the poems look like a diamond.
We created a fun diamond display of poems outside our classroom.
